Tis the season to get deep and soulful and what better way to do so than dancing with a smile at DIVE! This year's Holiday Jam features the return one of the industry's most sought out performers. Rose and violet lights fall on three musicians decked out sleekly in skinny ties, pressed slacks, and starched white shirts. The mass of bodies gathered before them pulsates with a unified enthusiasm. Sweet soulful vocals rise from the man in the middle, an effect rendered all the more captivating by the fact that he is concurrently beating out an unrelenting backbeat on the drums. Flanking him on either side are a bassist who jumps up and down to the rhythm as he generates the throbbing low-end, and a keyboardist whose cool composure belies the fire in his fingers.

DIVE has been a tireless purveyor of house music in San Diego since 2004, holding regular and special events that provide a non-prentitious haven for those aficionados who simply want to dance and feel house. Now in its regular Saturday night home at Candelas Lounge in the Gaslamp area of downtown San Diego, DIVE is home to its founder and resident DJ ALA along with co-resident Mikeytown and has featured regular guests including such luminaries as Marques Wyatt, jojoflores, Roy Davis Jr, Lisa Shaw, Halo, Mark Grant, Master Kev, Sabo, Diz, and more. In 2008, DIVE San Diego first brought its vibe to WMC Miami and has cultivated a solid presence in the deep house community of the conference ever since.
